Over 56,000 gallons of oil...that is how much has spilled into the North Sea.
This is deemed to be a significant amount.
At least it will not likely reach the shore.

The world' oldest gun ship.....a medieval Cog ship.

-----I wonder how Shell is doing on fighting the oil spill in the North Sea.
-----Operation Cup of Tea....drink tea instead of rioting.
-----Listening to Radiant Fellowship online this morning. Glad to hear that GothiCon was mentioned. Interesting sermon on annoying things that some Christians do.

Shell is fighting an oil leak near Scotland.
---The fact that it is likely a finite amount of oil is a little less worrisome...maybe.

Tupelo honey is one of the rarest honeys in the world (it is harvested only a few days in April...and that is all for the year). Made from the Tupelo tree  which grows only on remote southeastern rivers.

---Never crystallizes.
---Tupelo's flavors are a series of distinct impressions - melon, crème brulée, butter & dried pear. Also described as having a hint of wet stones and the barest hint of Southern Moss (a herbaceous note under all the other tastes).

Recipes using Tupelo honey:
---Honey-Roasted Root Vegetables."If you can't find tupelo honey, substitute another medium-color, floral variety, such as dandelion, loosestrife, or orange blossom."
---Chocolate Tupelo Honey Cake
---Tupelo Honey Butternut Squash Soup

Black Sage honey is a rare honey that is made 4 out of every 10 years.

Apparently trying to split atoms in his kitchen was a hobby.  This will be an interesting case to watch....maybe it will set some precedences as far as what people can do in their homes. I  wonder if this man will be believed in his assertion that it was a hobby.
-----It is a year later and many of the Chilean miners are living in poverty. I wonder how the company that the miners worked for is doing.
-----Debt crisis threatens Italy.
